Same Day CEREC® Crowns
No More Temporary Crowns
With a traditional crown procedure it is necessary to have an initial appointment where the Dentist prepares the tooth, takes an impression to be sent off to a lab, and places a temporary crown. The next step would be coming back for a second appointment, normally 2 weeks later, to adjust and cement the permanent crown. This requires 2 separate visits taking time out of your busy schedule.
Permanent Porcelain Crown in One Visit
Unlike the traditional procedure, CEREC® offers the ability to leave with a permanent porcelain crown in one visit. CEREC® technology uses a specialized camera that takes digital impressions (so no more gooey impressions) that are simultaneously sent to a computer where Dr. Henderson will design the permanent restoration. Once the design is set, the crown will be milled right here in our office while you wait, and then cemented permanently giving you the opportunity to leave with a brand new beautiful smile all in one visit!
Beautiful, Natural Results
With CEREC® technology, Dr. Henderson uses unique porcelain that expands, contracts, and wears down at the same rate as natural enamel. The traditional porcelain used for crowns is fabricated in an off-site lab and is often more abrasive and looks less natural. CEREC® crowns are fabricated in our office while you wait to ensure the best fit and the most natural-looking results.
